Records Management and Data Quality - St Georges London

Two patients came to “severe harm” after their data was not completed properly at a teaching hospital.

St George’s University Healthcare Foundation Trust confirmed to HSJ this week that a clinical harm review had so far found two people who had experienced “severe harm”.

In a statement, the £600m turnover trust said the clinical harm group had so far carried out 104 patient assessments and found 92 cases of no harm and 10 cases of “low harm”.

The record keeping for elective treatment at St George’s has been investigated since last summer, when a consultancy firm found incomplete records for patients on the trust’s patient administration system.

Awards Ceremony February 2017 Surveys

Passing any examination is a huge achievement especially considering the many sacrificies you and your family have to make during this frantic study period.

The Board therefore wanted to make sure that we were acknowledging this by ‘putting on a good show’ for you all. We sent out a survey before the Awards to ascertain what ‘floats your boat’ with these sort of events and we have tweaked the Awards ceremony in response to your feedback and comments.

We then asked those who attended the February 2017 Awards ceremony in Birmingham some simple questions re what they thought of it all.

We also asked those who didn’t or couldn’t attend what they would have liked to have seen at such an event, and if the day and location of the awards influenced their decision not to attend.

This paper summarises those comments.
