Problems with the introduction of the Epic electronic patient record at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust led to a catastrophic loss of confidence in the system that took months and a “huge amount of effort to rebuild”, the president of the Royal College of Surgeons has said.

Agnes started her career with the NHS on 7th February 1977 as a clerical officer in Monklands Hospital. She progressed over 12 and a half years to Outpatient Supervisor then A&E Supervisor. Agnes was the Trainer for the Compas system and remained in this post between September 89 and April 96 as the ‘user support specialist’.
