Dr. Marianne Evans – 10.2.1946 – 3.6.2015
President of IHRIM from 2001 – 2012
We were all very sad to hear of the fairly sudden death of Dr. Marianne Evans, our President for 11 years and our good friend.
Marianne was born in Goodick Fishguard in 1946 and was brought up in the mining village of Gwendraeth Valley in South Wales, the daughter of the local pharmacist. Those of you who knew Marianne will not be surprised to learn that she was the Head Girl at school, captain of the netball team and conductor of the choir in Gwendraeth Valley Grammar School.
